I wasn’t completely disciplined with my usage either. However, I did notice some strain on my left side of my chest and was worried about an effect on the heart. When I stopped usage, I still had that feeling, but since have taken cayenne pepper daily and it has cleared up any strain effects.
Anyone have a comment on this?
I just want the vacuum bell to be safe and I am not sure if there has been anyone to look at long term use.

Hello David,

First of all, I am glad to hear that you started exercising from such a young age. I am impressed by your determination to improve your pectus excavatum deformity. You are doing exceptionally well.

Also, it is impressive to hear that you have already invested in a vacuum bell. I would highly recommend you start the vacuum bell therapy gradually. It would be best if you didn’t force yourself too harshly with applying the device because it can irritate your skin a lot, preventing you from wearing it in the days that come. Eventually, it would be ideal to wear it for as long as possible during the day, as long as you don’t experience any skin problems.

I highly recommend you start sleeping with the device applied to your chest if you can handle it and sleep without a problem. I wrote detailed articles about these topics, which you can check.

I used the LaceIT and Neo G pectus excavatum braces, and they helped me tremendously in improving my poor pectus posture and rib flare. If you have the budget, I would recommend you invest in a LaceIT brace as well.

However, see how the vacuum bell improvement goes. You may not need a brace unless you have severe rib flaring. I believe that you can improve your deformity without surgery.

Please, don’t let it bother you psychologically, David! You’re on a fantastic self-improvement journey that will help you become the strongest version of yourself.

You can message me anytime at mihail@mrpectus.com. Take care, and thank you for your comment!

Mihail.

I am going to start to wear it to sleep to but I have to ask if it’s ok or it may cause problems. And one more thing is have you used the braces and if yes did it help cause I thought about buying those too I would do anything to avoid the surgery but I don t want to live like this always under the pressure of people making fun of my chest.
